The Usual Graduate Package
Most overseas teaching and graduate programs ask for the same three things: your diploma, your transcript, and an FBI background check. The first two are California apostilles that need notarizing first; the FBI check is a federal apostille from the U.S. Department of State, which takes 7–12 business days and cannot be rushed. Start the FBI check first. See diplomas and transcripts and FBI checks.
UCSB Documents
Order official transcripts and diploma verification through the UCSB Registrar. Tell us how they arrive (sealed paper copy or certified electronic PDF) before you open anything, because the right notarization route depends on it and some programs also want an unopened copy.
Graduating soon? A diploma often arrives months after commencement. Some programs accept a notarized registrar letter confirming the degree in the meantime; ask your program.
No Car Needed
We can meet you in Isla Vista or near campus, notarize there, and take care of the rest. FBI results that arrive as a signed PDF can simply be uploaded when you book.
Not sure this is the right document or the right apostille? Call (805) 866-4199, any day 8am–10pm. We will tell you exactly what your destination needs before you pay for anything.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Can international students get their home-country documents apostilled here?
No. An apostille can only come from the country that issued the document. We apostille U.S. documents for use abroad, such as your UCSB degree or a California birth certificate.
I am doing JET, EPIK or TAPIF. What do I need?
Each program publishes its own list, and it changes. Usually it is an apostilled diploma and often an apostilled FBI check. Send us the list and we will confirm what needs apostilles.
How long will it all take?
California apostilles take 5–10 business days standard, or less with rush. The FBI check plus its federal apostille is the long pole: allow several weeks in total.
